In the tribute “In Memoriam: Ernst Richard Jaffé (1925–2008),” which appeared on page iv of the April 2008 issue of Seminars in Hematology (Volume 45, Number 2), the first two sentences of the second paragraph should read as follows: “Ernst R. Jaffé was born in Chicago, Illinois into a medical environment; his father was a pathologist and his mother a pediatrician. His parents emigrated from Vienna in 1922.” The publisher regrets the errors and acknowledges that Dr. Jaffé would have wanted us to get the details right; he did no less as Editor of Seminars in Hematology.
