In the article “Vascular Biology—The Role of Tissue Factor” by James Hathcock (Semin Hematol 41:30–34, 2004 [Suppl 1]), the references to an alternatively spliced tissue factor variant described in the right column on page 32 are off by one residue. The sixth sentence of the second paragraph in the column should read: “This results in a 206–amino acid protein with a unique 40-residue, carboxy-terminal sequence. A potential amidation site exists at the glycine-201 residue and there is an unusual 13-residue, hydrophobic, palindromic sequence, YLWSSSLSSSWLY, starting at residue 175.”
